Backend Software Development Internship

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python or Java (depending on project needs).
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless application functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Assist in testing and debugging backend components to ensure high-quality software.
• Implement and maintain database schemas and optimize database queries.
• Research and implement new technologies and frameworks to improve system performance and scalability.
• Work on data processing and analysis tasks, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and provide updates on project progress.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Java preferred).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
